Intertidal & Sub-Tidal Fixed Netting Permits – Area C (Flamborough to Withernsea)
Applications are invited for intertidal and sub-tidal fixed netting permits to set nets within Area C of the Authority’s district (Flamborough Light to Withernsea Light) under the provisions of Byelaw XVIII Method and Area of Fishing (Fixed Netting) Byelaw 2016.
Applicants can only apply for one type of permit and applications will be assessed against the following criteria:
- The applicant has previously held a permit to fish within Area C
- The applicant can demonstrate a historical track record of fishing in Area C
- The applicant can demonstrate a track record of catching fish using fixed nets
- With respect to sub-tidal permits the operating vessel must be registered 10 m and under and carry a valid national MMO licensing entitlement to catch and take sea bass.
A maximum of five intertidal and five sub-tidal permits are available.
Please also note that a fee of £500 will be charged for each permit.
