Tees & North Yorkshire 2023 Shellfish Landings Report

On 29 September 2022 NEIFCA published its first report into catch and landing trends at ports located close to the Tees and along the North Yorkshire coast. This report sought to assess the impacts of the 2021 shellfish mortality event on the commercial crab and lobsters fisheries exploited from those ports. The data only covered a short time frame. This second reports incorporates a much larger data set collated over a longer time frame and considerable care has been taken to segregate the landings recorded by each sector. NEIFCA considers that this second report provides a much stronger appraisal of associated landing trends at ports surrounding the Tees and the North Yorkshire coast.Tees & North Yorkshire 2023 Shellfish Landings Report
