Career Opportunities at North Eastern IFCA
North Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority is one of 10 authorities covering the English coast. Our primary statutory function is to manage the sustainable exploitation of sea fisheries resources. This is delivered through the monitoring of activities and enforcement of appropriate management measures including local and national regulations. As an Authority, we are proud of the work we do and the goals we strive to achieve.
We have a range of roles covering both land based and offshore operations including a dedicated environmental/scientific team. The skills and experience required to fulfil our posts are often transferrable from careers in the fishing industry, mechanics, engineering, and enforcement. An interest and working knowledge of fishing practices and boat handling experience can also be advantageous. We always strive to provide opportunities to individuals that feel they have the relevant skills and qualifications to work as part of our team.
We are actively seeking interest from individuals that have experience and expertise in offshore deck work and a working knowledge of fishing practices, marine diesels and ancillary equipment. If you feel you have the relevant skills, please submit your CV and a covering statement on how you feel you can assist in all operations to deliver the Authority’s functions in relation to the management and conservation of sea fisheries resources within our district.
