Commercial Shellfish Permit

Apply to North Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority for a shellfish permit. Applications can be made using our online form or by post.

Please note, if you already hold a shellfish permit issued by North Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority, you will automatically receive a notice of renewal inviting you to reapply for a permit for the following year.

Hobby Shellfish Permit

**PLEASE NOTE - All 2021/2022 Limited Shellfish Permits are valid until further notice - no renewal is necessary if you hold a permit for this year. If your permit/tags are green you DO NOT need to fill in a renewal form.**

The Limited Shellfish Permit is for any individual, whether a vessel owner or not, who does not qualify for the criteria of a Shellfish Entitlement Holder Permit. This applies to unlicenced hobby fishermen, bait collection, shore gathering and recreational fishermen. Applications can be made using our online form or by post.

Trawl Permit

**PLEASE NOTE - All current Trawl permits are valid until June 2023**

Apply to North Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority for a trawl permit. Applications can be made using our online form or by post.

Amend Your Permit

Amendments to your permit can be made using our online form or by post.

Please note, it is your responsibility to ensure the details on your permit are correct, failure to do so will invalidate the authority of the permit. Note also, it is the owners and skippers responsibility to ensure that they conform to the Authority’s byelaws, which can be found at www.ne-ifca.gov.uk or by contacting NEIFCA. Any person or persons breaching the Authority’s byelaw regulations could, upon conviction, be fined up to a maximum of £50,000.

Return Your Application

By Post – Return your completed application form by post to: North Eastern Inshore Fisheries, Town Hall, Bridlington, YO16 4LP

By Email – Scan and send your completed application form by email to: ne-ifca@eastriding.gov.uk

If your application is successful, you will receive your licence/permit by post. New Commercial and Trawl permit applications take longer to process. Please allow extra time when submitting your application.
