Scallop Dredging Permits
Applications for scallop dredging permits for the 2026/2027 season are invited from vessels meeting the following criteria
Maximum overall length of 12m and 221KW engine power
Vessels which have previously notified a valid track record to the authority and do not exceed 18.3m overall length and 400KW engine power.
A maximum of four permits have been made available for the 2026/2027 season by the Authority and the assessment of applications will be prioritised in accordance with supporting fisheries byelaw regulation.
Please also note that a fee of £500 will be charged for each permit
